In the United States, an old religious faction, who were descendants of Anabaptist, were Christians of the Radical Reformation of the 16th century. Like other religious groups Protestant Reformation just to name a few, Anabaptist Christians oppose these particular beliefs of interest that challenged the reforms of Martin Luther and the Protestant Reformation. To sum up the Amish were known for the simplicity of living, unembellished dress and disinclination to embrace modern technology. The history of the Amish church began with a schism in Switzerland within a group of Swiss and Alsatian Anabaptists in 1693 led by Jakob Ammann; therefore, those who followed Ammann became known as Amish.
